1. About Caston
Caston is a digital casting and talent discovery platform that enables actors, aspiring actors, child actors and baby talent candidates to create profiles that may be viewed by casting directors, production companies, directors, advertising companies, agencies and other industry professionals who have been granted access by Caston.
Candidate profiles are not publicly accessible on the internet. Access is restricted to professional users who have been provided with authorization and login credentials by Caston.
2. Personal Data We Collect
Depending on how the Platform is used, Caston may process the following categories of personal data:
- First and last name, date of birth and age
- Email address, telephone number and other contact information voluntarily provided by the user
- Profile photographs and other images
- Introduction, performance and audition videos
- Height, body characteristics, hair, eye and other physical appearance characteristics
- Skills, education, professional and acting experience, languages spoken
- Role or character suitability information voluntarily provided by the user
- Account and membership information
- Technical, security, device and application usage information
- Subscription and transaction information
- Communications with Caston, including customer support requests
- For child and baby candidates, parent or legal guardian information and records relating to required permissions
3. Purposes for Processing Personal Data
Personal data may be processed for purposes including:

- Creating and maintaining user accounts and candidate profiles
- Enabling candidates to be discovered by authorized industry professionals
- Enabling professional users to search and filter candidates based on relevant criteria
- Allowing professional users to contact suitable candidates
- Managing memberships and subscriptions
- Providing customer support
- Maintaining Platform security and preventing misuse
- Detecting fake, misleading or unlawful accounts
- Diagnosing technical problems and improving the Platform
- Complying with legal obligations
- Establishing, exercising or defending legal rights
- Responding to user requests and complaints
4. Visibility of Candidate Profiles
Candidate profiles created on Caston are not publicly available. Profiles may only be accessed by professional users who have been granted access credentials by Caston.
Contact information that a candidate chooses to include in their profile may be made available to authorized professional users for the purpose of contacting the candidate directly outside the Platform.
Professional users are prohibited from using candidate information outside legitimate Caston purposes, unlawfully sharing it with third parties, publishing it without authorization, selling it, creating independent databases from it or otherwise processing it unlawfully.
5. Child and Baby Candidates
Profiles may be created on Caston for child and baby acting candidates. To the extent required by applicable law, accounts and profiles for minors must be created and managed by a parent or legal guardian.
The parent or legal guardian represents that they have the legal authority to provide information, photographs, videos and other content concerning the minor and to authorize display of such content to industry professionals authorized by Caston.
6. Photographs, Videos and User Content
Users may upload profile photographs, introduction videos, audition videos and other audiovisual content. Uploading content does not transfer ownership to Caston. Users grant Caston a limited, non-exclusive right to host, technically reproduce, format, transmit and display content solely to the extent necessary to operate the Platform.
7. Payment Information
Paid memberships may be purchased through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Payments are processed by the applicable app store and its payment service providers. Caston does not store users' complete credit or debit card details on its own systems but may receive limited transaction and subscription status information.

8. Sharing of Personal Data
Depending on the service, personal data may be shared with:
- Industry professionals authorized by Caston
- Cloud hosting, data storage and technical infrastructure providers
- Security and analytics service providers
- Apple, Google and other relevant app store or payment infrastructure providers
- Legal, financial and technical advisers
- Government authorities, courts, regulators or law enforcement bodies where required by law
9. International Data Transfers
Certain technology providers used by Caston may operate infrastructure outside Türkiye. As a result, certain personal data may be processed or stored outside Türkiye. International transfers will be carried out in accordance with Law No. 6698 and other applicable data protection laws using legally available safeguards where required.
10. Data Security
Caston applies reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
11. Data Retention
Personal data is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Caston services or for periods required under applicable law. When an account is deleted, associated personal data will be deleted, destroyed or anonymized unless retention is legally required or permitted.
12. Account and Data Deletion
Users may request deletion of their Caston account through the relevant account settings and may also contact Caston at info@castonapp.com. Deleting a Caston account may not automatically cancel an active subscription purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play.
13. Your Data Protection Rights
Under Law No. 6698 and other applicable laws, individuals may have rights including:
- Learning whether personal data is processed
- Requesting information regarding processing
- Learning processing purposes and whether data is used accordingly
- Learning third parties to whom personal data has been transferred
- Requesting correction of incomplete or inaccurate data
- Requesting deletion or destruction where legal conditions are met
- Requesting notification of corrections or deletions to third parties where applicable
- Objecting to certain automated processing results where provided by law
- Seeking compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing

14. Responsibilities of Professional Users
Professional users may use candidate information solely for legitimate casting, talent evaluation, audition, production evaluation and directly related professional purposes. Systematic downloading, creation of independent databases, sale, unauthorized publication or unrelated use is prohibited.
15. Changes to this Privacy Policy
Caston may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in law, technology, security practices or Platform functionality. Where changes materially affect users, appropriate notice may be provided.
